How to wear a sasMASK?
To put on
1. Lightly spread the elastic with both hands and place the inner/lower part of mask under your chin.
2. Pull both straps over your head (mask should cover chin, mouth and nose) with the lower straps under your ears, and the upper straps above your ears
3. Adjust/pinch the area around your nose to reshape to your preference
4. Adjust the straps so that the mask feels comfortable and secure.
To adjust fit
1. You can adjust the proportionate length of elastic between the lower and upper straps by pulling the elastic through the side of the mask where the elastic is not sewn in place.
2. You can adjust the angle that the upper elastic strap sits on your head (some people like the upper strap to be on the back of their head, some find a better fit with it near the top of their head)
3. if the elastic is too loose, you can tie a knot in the lower elastic strap to shorten the overall length.
-
How long will the mask last?
We recommend
Replacing your mask every 2-3 months
There is no fixed life-time
As long as your mask is clean and the materials are not worn-out or torn, your mask will provide the same level of protection as when it was brand new!
Natural wear & tear will occur
The above guidelines will highly depend on your personal use-case; such as how often and how long you wear your mask, how often it is washed and if it is treated with care.
-
What are the washing instructions?
1. Machine wash up to 60 degrees
2. Smoothen / reshape while still damp
3. Hang / air dry
sasMASKS dry out surprisingly quickly!
• Do not tumble dry
• Do not iron
N.B. To maximize longevity, wash #sasMASKs inside a washing net or pillow case.
-
How often should I wash my mask?
This is mostly down to your own discretion, however...
We recommend
• After exposure to a high risk environment (e.g. a hospital visit)
• After any prolonged use in a public enclosed space (>1 hour)
• Whenever it just feels like it needs a wash!
-
Disclaimers
Face coverings should not be used by:
• children under the age of two

• those with respiratory conditions
Your safety
While we follow the latest guidelines for non-medical grade face coverings, the sasMASK cannot provide total protection from the transmission of contagious diseases.
